APRIL 2005 to PRESENT

Head Teacher, conducting Astanga, Power, and Flow classes at Karma Yoga (www.karmayoga.com.cn) in Shanghai.

 

SEPTEMBER 2004

Conducted Power Yoga classes at Yoga Limbs in Hong Kong.

 

SEPTEMBER 2003 to DECEMBER 2004

Conducting Mysore-style and Flow style classes at Flow Yoga (www.flowyogavancouver.com). Also conducting multi-level Flow classes here.

Conducting Power Yoga classes for all levels at various corporate venues with Vancouver Corporate Yoga (www.vancouvercorporateyoga.com).

 

Conducting various styles of class at fitness centers throughout Vancouver.

  

AUGUST 2003 to DECEMBER 2004

Conducting Power Yoga classes at Prana Yoga and Zen Centre (www.pranayoga.com) in Vancouver, BC.   Also substitute teaching several classes per month at the same.

  

JUNE to DECEMBER 2002           

Designed and conducted an Astanga Yoga Program, which included a 2-day beginner workshop, for Yoga Limbs, Hong Kong, (www.yogalimbs.com) teaching 15 regular classes per week.

 

OCTOBER 2001 to FEBRUARY 2002

Substitute teaching for beginner and intermediate level classes at Yoga in Motion and various other venues in Calgary, Alberta.

  

MAY to OCTOBER 2001

Conducted private and small group sessions teaching Astanga yoga in Hong Kong. This included conducting corporate yoga classes at the offices of AOL/Time-Warner Hong Kong.

  

APRIL to OCTOBER 2001 

Conducted led, mixed-level Astanga classes 12 times a week for Yoga Limbs, Hong Kong.

  

MARCH 2001

Conducted several beginner level Astanga classes as a substitute teacher at Yoga in Motion in Calgary, Alberta.

  

OCTOBER 2000 to MARCH 2001

Conducted beginner level classes in a soft style of Astanga yoga for a Parks & Recreation-registered course in Airdrie, Alberta.

 

 

TRAINING BACKGROUND:  


 

NOVEMBER 2004

Participated in a series of Asana Alignment Workshops conducted by Physiotherapist Brett Wearne at Flow Yoga, Vancouver, BC.

 

MARCH 2004

Accomplished a human anatomy course with the Kinetic Education Network (www.bickerstaff.ca) in Vancouver, BC.

 

DECEMBER 2002 to JUNE 2003

Studied Astanga yoga under V. Sheshadri in Mysore, India. Began practicing 2nd Series in February 2003.

  

APRIL to MAY 2003

Apprenticed under V. Sheshadri in Mysore, India. Instruction focused on specific asana modifications and styles of adjustment in Astanga yoga.

  

JUNE to DECEMBER 2002

Continued study of Astanga yoga under Michel Besnard at Yogasana, Hong Kong. (www.yogasana.com.hk)

  

MARCH to JUNE 2002

Continued study of Astanga yoga under V. Sheshadri in Mysore, India.

 

FEBRUARY to MARCH 2002

Studied traditional Astanga yoga under Sri K. Patthabi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy at the Astanga Yoga Research Institute (www.ayri.org) in Mysore, India.

  

NOVEMBER 2001

Attended an Astanga yoga intensive workshop with David Williams.

  

FEBRUARY 2001

Accomplished a teacher training course aimed specifically at teaching Astanga Yoga at Yoga in Motion in Calgary, Alberta.

  

MARCH to DECEMBER 2000

Attended workshops with various internationally acclaimed teachers, including David and Simi Roche, Larry Schultz, and Sarah Powers.

  

NOVEMBER 1998 to APRIL 2001

Built the foundation of a strong yoga practice with local teachers in Calgary, Alberta, including Jennifer Steed, Rockne White, Danielle Pechie, Amber Kyliuk, Hooda Schwabb, and Jessica Gogol.
