Eka Pada Adho Mukha Swanasana

One Leg Downward Facing Dog Pose

Drishti: Back

How to

From Adho Mukha Swanasana, exhale as you take your feet together.  With an inhale lift the right leg up toward the sky.  As you exhale you can begin to work deeply into the left hamstrings, which is one of the main uses of this pose.

Modifications

Tight hamstrings can make this pose impossible, in which case working on Adho Mukha Swanasana, Pachimottanasana, and particularly Supta Padangustasana are all good options.
