Astanga Yoga in the Cook Islands

 

An Astanga Yoga workshop in Rarotonga, lush capital of the Cook Islands.

With Dik Bree from the Astanga Yoga Center in Auckland NZ, who has been practicing Astanga yoga since 1991.

Dik is Authorized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

 

       

 

 

When? 09 - 13 and 16 - 20 October, 2006
     Students have the option to come for one week (the 1st or 2nd week is okay) or for both weeks.

    Class is at 5pm every evening, so you'll have the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

 

Where? Rarotonga, capital island of the Cook Islands, in the South Pacific. Frequent connections from Auckland via Air New Zealand.  Classes held at Avarua Catholic Cathedral.

 

       
 


How Much? US$70/week, covering yoga instruction only. Air ticket and lodging by student's own arrangement.

Who Can Come? Beginners and advanced practitioners welcome. Dik is a patient teacher with a wealth of experience and knowledge to share with students of any level.

Dik Who? Dik Bree has been practicing Astanga Vinyasa yoga since 1991, and teaches at the Astanga Yoga Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. He is authorized to teach Astanga Yoga by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, founder of the Astanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India.

There are many, many options for rooms/bungalows to rent on Rarotonga. The range is from backpacker lodges, to self-contained units with kitchen and bathroom, to private villas with pool.
